Just checked with my daughter and her reply was not only is the kilt cool but the confidence is very obvious. She believes that if you are not confident you have no business in the kilt. From the mouth of babes.

On the other hand, my daughter (age 31) done NOT care for me in a kilt. However, my wife loves it. In fact she had her sister are researching a family (on their side) tartan.
I'll be ( of course) following my wife's lead.

a lady in my office .... who is the age of my daughter, said that a man who wore a kilt was showed confidence.. a theme so far... my wife is entertained by the number of ladies who compliment my kilt and the men who say the wish they had worn thieir kilt.
as to the earlier post about wearing women's clothing... just reverse the top apron to open on the left ... we live so close to the edge LOL

I've had several women (roughly same age as me, 28) "Like" my kilted photo on Facebook, but the best compliment so far was a random text message "You have sexy legs" - wasn't expecting that one.
I haven't worn it out enough to get a negative comment, but honestly the folks that would diss me for wearing a kilt would just as soon find something else about me they don't like if I was wearing trousers or shorts.
