Any movement on this order? I am a medium and would order if that helps.

Would this order include argyle style clansmen hose in R'lyeh sett? Or just the old discontinued stock?

Hi guys,
I've been offline for a couple of weeks due to travelling for work. I'm back now so I'll get in touch with Matt and put things in motion. Last call!!
I never did hear back from HoC about what stock they have in medium. I didn't want to be too much of a pest so perhaps the best thing to do will be to include that one on the order and hope for the best.
If anyone else wants to try for medium please contact me in the next day or so.

We are looking at the Shetland and Orkney styles at the moment. I imagine that a custom argyle is possible but I don't know what the minimum order would be. Also I would expect that it would have to be from HoC's stock yarn colors.

Mildly embarrassing questions...
Is the lovat blue similar to ancient blue?
Can someone describe for me the difference between the Highfell and the Scotspine Marl's? I'm a little color blind, and the only difference I can see is the former is darker than the latter.
I'm a US 10.5 foot; would I be better off going with large?
Thanks.

IMHO, ....
HofC's lovat blue (which they call "Blue Mix") is a bit darker than their "Ancient Blue". Blue Mix also appears to have a slight gray aspect to it, but what I see as gray may just be lighter-blue threads mixed with slightly darker blue threads. I looked, but could not find pictures on the web that accurately depict (on my monitor, anyway, and to my eyes) the difference.
I have the Highfell Marl and Scotspine Marl in front of me as I write this. They are both marled, so they are woven with multi-colored thread. The Scotspine Marl is a medium green with dark green and light green threads woven together along with a bit of medium-brown thread as accent. The Highfell Marl appears brown and is woven with dark, medium, and light brown threads. They are both lovely, plush (thick, but very soft), and warm.
The issue of going from medium to large may have more to do with the height of the hose rather than the length of the foot bed. I, too, am a 10.5 - 11 depending on the shoe last. I choose HofC's large size, because I like the high hose going almost to the bottom of my knee. I have no problem with the foot bed being too long for my foot, but I cannot tell you that if you choose medium that it will be too short for your 10.5 foot. I would guess not, because the wool stretches, but that is only a guess. I have never tried the medium size.
Good luck.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Just a heads-up for everyone: I am going to double-check the counts over the weekend and place the order with Matt on Monday morning.
