Just to ensure I don't steer you wrong, I'll offer three notes:
1. I wore a shirt with buttons on the collars, in case I chose to remove the tie. Strictly speaking, such a collar isn't traditional.
2. My tie is about two inches too long. The outer corners should be near the top of the kilt or belt. I'm thinking I'll have to either shorten the tie or tuck the tail into my shirt.
3. I would normally wear a plainer brown sporran with that particular outfit. But I couldn't resist wearing Donnie's masterpiece!
Beyond that, I hope the ensemble meets our informal TCHD standards!

Thanks for the notes, which I understand completely; however, I don't think any of what you mentioned is in any way a sartorial faux pas. I like the understated elegance of your TCHD. I particularly like your choice of hose.
