Thankfully the pedants have left the room so i'm in a better mood. Here are some real arms and a bit of flesh for my and others amusement. I'm still very much interested in developing my CoA's but obviously i'm hell bent on a more contemporary route. Photos taken by my two bears! I think this shows just how diverse the kilt can be.

Not that this would interest the pedants, but the hats- the Fez was sourced from eBay, it is a genuine Fez circa 1938 origin Cairo, Egypt made from genuine papyrus Nile straw, leather band and Moroccan wool, the Topper was from the Marks & Spencer sales 100% wool and purchased for the grand sum of £15 BARGAIN I say! The Yorkshire flat cap was bespoke made by Lawrence & Foster hats (a proper Yorkshire company that make proper Yorkshire caps), the cloth is Dunans Rising tartan. So the hat is a proper Yorkshire meets Scotland hat. Its about as close as a Yorkshire man will come to a proper Scotch hat with offending his Yorkshire sensibilities.

As a curious development I've discovered a government based body in South Africa who go by the name Bureau of Heraldry and they are helping me develop a coat of arms that will fit traditional protocols associated with Heraldry. You pay an initial registration fee and once you are happy with the design the balance and hey presto you have a nice legit registered CoA's.

Well this has been quite a steep learning curve but I'm hopeful that within the next 3-5 weeks I'll have my first preview of my CoA's from the Bureau of Heraldry. I've subsequently asked fleurdelis.com to do a revision of the original art work to conform to established rules of tradition so may have a preview sooner than later.

I've decided to continue this thread as a means of educating both myself and others who are ignorant of the formalities of armorial designs. There are those clearly with more knowledge on the subject but being highbrowed perhaps would not condescend to share their knowledge. Hey ho sorry if that last part sounded sarcastic. Bare with me, its a mix of mine and others personalities and percieved slights IMHO.
