    The 'normal' bonnet is a heavier fabric as it is done on larger needles and heavily fulled. The one required is a finer thing altogether. I think, from what has been said of the character, that he is 'the man' so although he might wear a cap of similar type and style to those around him, it is differenced by its quality of material and construction. The sort of thing that at range of bowshot would be difficult to tell, but in Hall would set the man apart from the rest.

    I would guess they could make the kind that Dougal wears on the show, but you'd have to ask.
