Wowza, stop right there!
I've been kiltwearing for 40 years and I've only owned 9!
1) my first kilt, made by my grandmother, of "fashion tartan" got at a local fabric shop (1975)
2) my second kilt, also made by my grandmother, but of actual tartan (1977)
3) a kilt made by a friend's sister for re-enacting out of American-woven tartan (1977)
4) my first "real kilt", made by local kiltmaker Madelyn Blandford (sadly she has passed away) (1982)
5) my second "real kilt" also by Madelyn (1988)
That's it, up till the four kilts I currently own, by Madelyn Blandford, Wanda MacSwain, a guy in Edinburgh, from House Of Edgar, and the one I made in an Elsie Stuehmeyer class.
Through many of my kiltwearing years I've only owned one; when I get a new one I tend to sell off the other one. My current situation of owning four is unique for me.
This count doesn't include the various kilts issued to me by bands which were band property. There have been periods in which the only kilt I had to wear was a band one (a situation very common amongst band pipers).

Ahh, the difference between a "social kilter" and a "kilt addict." I am working my way back down. Haven't had much luck selling some kilts of late. When I have more time in my life will make another offering for those in my size range to consider.

I'm up to 8 kilts now. 5 traditional 16oz 8yard worsted wool tanks, two 22oz regimental tanks+, and one Stillwater heavy weight wool.
My next two will likely be a 4yard box pleat, and a USA Kilts semi-traditional.

Someone just asked me how many kilts do I have now since ordered my first kilt in March 2015. I laughed and told her it will be my fifth kilt in 5 months in August when I will order a USAK casual purple Wallace. In my 5 months I have 5 kilts, 7 different color hoses, two sporrans, and two belt buckles so far. I might need help on my unexplained addiction for the kilts and its accessories.
