Got a heads-up this AM, the fabric posting to Matt SHOULD be in the mail on Monday. It appears that I won't be clad in The R'lyeh Sett for my Very Scary Solstice but we're definitely making progress.
Congrats, to you and to us all.
How long does it usually take for these things to make it across the pond?
And speaking of...

I haven't heard back from the first email either; I presume they are just swamped but if I haven't heard in another week or so I will re-send.

For those who haven't heard back yet, yes, give Dalgliesh a little time and if you still have not heard then contact them again. They are not always the speediest in communication and I'm sure the number of people on this order is gumming up their normal routine.

Congratulations on getting this project done! Awesome tartan. I know I am coming to this late but I am also interested in a kilt and would gladly pick up any yardage from someone who cares to part with it.

Hmm... I wish you all the best of luck, good sir. But I fear that you'll be hard pressed to find extra yardage. This was quite a special project, and each of us ordered the yardage that we required.
Does anyone have any extra, out of curiosity?

I think you've had enough people asking about additional yardage to do another run, if they all got together.
Speaking of other runs, has the tartan been registered? Would there be copyright issues with Lovecraft's heirs/publishers? If not, are there plans to register it?

I believe his stuff is in the public domain; I could be wrong, I suppose, but I don't think so.
And another run would certainly be possible and plausable... but good luck getting the same colors as in the Original.

Yeah, I don't think HPL had any heirs. 'sides, I can't imagine any issues over naming a tartan after a city in one of his stories
And as far as I can tell, no one has actually seen the final product yet, so we don't really know how it will turn out. We could quite easily start a new run with tweaked colors.
I'd like to do a Miskatonic tartan with a bit of a collegiate feel. Maybe blue and white with some of that purple and mythos green in there.
