These were taken last spring when he wore his kilt to school (1st grade at public school). Talk about being proud!

My 6 year old daughter Zowie wore her new Black Watch kilt for the highland games in Boise Idaho this last September. Pics of me, my wife, a turkey leg and her below.

Iam was in a kilt mood tonight and will not take it off. He also picked out his next, so I guess I will get started on that next. The boy is a ham.

It has been wet outside for the past couple of days. When it gets nice we are off to the park for some good pics.

Wonderful thread. Maybe having our kids kilted is how to make the world safe for kilts.

My wife is trying to pull the 'he can't wear it until he understands the possible social rammifactions of that decision" crap. He is 4. He knows the word kilt, and doesn't know dress or skirt AFAIK, since his mom doesn't wear those 99.9% of the time. We'll see in a day or two, he might wear it Sunday...

My son was being a pain and wouldn't try his on for his mommy to see, but he also refused to put on his pants for that matter, because 'getting family pictures is no fun' as he said, but I realized while waiting for pics the 'solution' so now his kilt has a Picachu pin in the corner as a kilt pin. I know he can't wear his kilt to his grandma's house, but I can wait for him to demand his Pokemon shirt with his Pokemon kilt. (It's black watch, but he doesn't care for such things.)

The 'funny' thing is, we realized getting clothes out for the pic, he only has a few pair of sweat pants, a corduroy pair of pants, one khaki pair, and his kilt. If his khaki pair get dirty, his kilt is the next more formal thing he has. (And I ain't got no money to 'fix' that right now either. The holidays are coming...)
