... I think you're the closest XMarker who's admitted he's near Rochester. I keep hoping that one day I'll see someone else wearing a kilt around here on a non-occasion day but so far nuthin'...
Huh. Either even Rochesterians don't know where Geneseo is, or I don't know why I bother posting.
Over the years, I have seen one kilt being worn casually on a non-occasion in the GRA. It was the Best Buy in Henrietta, and a college-age guy wearing a Utilikilt passed by, surrounded by his posse. That's it. We're still a rare breed out here.

My abject apologies! I'm geographically challenged... If it weren't for my GPS and the trail of breadcrumbs I leave behind when I leave the house I'd never find my way back home... In my defense I'm a transplant here having grown up in the Cleveland OH area all of my life. But I still should know better as I've lived here for 20 years now...
Thanks! I can tell it is definitely an addiction. In the 6 months (roughly) since wearing my first kilt I now have a total of 6 and have another 6 or so on my Wanted list. <sigh> I try to explain to my wife that I'm updating my wardrobe after all these years but I'm not sure she's buying it.
Welcome from another Rochester native, albeit living in FL now. Still get up to see my Dad in Pittsford every so often, so I think that would make me the closest kiltie to you, when I am in town. My Dad's also a classic British motor car buff. He has a TR and a bugeye Sprite right now. He's also into classic wooden boats. He is getting his 1958 Century Raven in shape as we speak. Great boat.
