Has anyone seen an ugly tartan? Call me a one sided silly head, but I really just love tartans.

Maybe it's just me, but I think the Taylors are pretty scary:

My mother remarried and married a Taylor! Thankfully her maiden name was Robertson, so I still get to choose something that won't make your eyes bleed!

The first image is a computer generated image, they never do the tartan justice. However the tartan below is quite nice you don't often see olive in tartan at least not so predominantly. Edit, I just showed mt 7 yo daughter the tartan, she said she liked it. I knew there was a reason we named her Taylor.

So it appears as Antarctic (25 votes) wins with Isle of Skye (23) a close second followed by a distant Maple Leaf (15). Thanks to all for voting.

OK here are the ones I could find so that everyone could see the tartans in kilt form:

The Sackett

The Isle of Skye

The Maple Leaf

The Holyrood

I could not find the MacPherson Red in kilt form, nor could I find the Caledonia, if anyone has those please post them.

I voted for IOS up there. That being said, having seen the New Hampshire state tartan done in a kilt, that one is just as gorgeous IMO.

Sorry but I'm having a tough time getting past the use of the word "gorgeous" in connection with a male garment, and no offense McMurdo, but you're not helping!
(I'm sure you're relieved to know that, aren't you?)
