Alan,
Don't you have some rather nice camo materials for another X Kilt for yourself and a most modest, humble, and undemanding member of our forum?
Cheers

I DO...and guess what I just cut out last night.....*grin*.. Your X-Kilt is the next one up, right after I finish hand-stitching the liner of the stole for our Pastor. That will be eight feet of light and easy hand-sewing, much of which I will likley do tonight while Joan is at rehearsal.

I showed the plans to a new kiltie up here. He hasn't joined the forum, but he has made two that I have seen.

Went to Walmart in town with the Girlfriend tonight and noticed they had a cotton/poly woodland MARPAT knockoff for $5 a yd.
Looks like a good candidate for my Xkilt. Anybody have one like this?

This stuff is EXACTLY the sort of thing to use for an X-Kilt. Get yourself 4-5 yards, depending on your girth, and go to it. After you make one, make another one, reversed so that it opens on the left instead of the right and hand it to the girlfriend and call it an X-Skirt!

Great, she's already got me making her, her mom and a few coworkers some Seatbelt Purses.
I'm really becoming her "Sew Haux"
I'm also looking at this fabric instaed of the MARPAT. I got out (99') before MARPAT and am "iffy" on wearing it.

I've already posted a pic of myself in my X-Kilt, but here is one of my grandson in his:

And there is a third in process, just waiting final fitting.

Figure that lots of folks wear marpat knock-offs, so I wouldn't stress over it too much. ON the other hand, that grey digicamo is pretty cool, I LIKE that!
Fedgunner, Doc and LadyGriffin.........looks like we're up to about 65 X-Kilts made!

It's darker than the Army's ACU camo (actually called "Universal camo pattern" or UCP) and I think they used it in the Military uniforms in "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer"
