Happy St. Andrew's Day to all.
Something I hadn't realized is that the Episcopal Church flag incorporates the St. Andrew's flag

probably because following the Revolution when no English bishops would consecrate an American bishop, the Scottish bishops did.
I was reading the Wikipedia article on the development of the Union Jack (inspired by this thread) and found that it looks suspiciously like one of the proposals for the Union Jack http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Union_Flag

A Happy St. Andrews Day to all.
I look forward to raising a pint with the good folks of the Nor Cal Rabble at the Devil's Canyon Brewery this evening. I'm wearing my Heritage of Scotland tartan kilt (though I might be changing into an X Kilt later this evening )
I'll make sure to bring my Saltire
Cheers

Happy St. Andrew's day, all!
I went to services at St. Andrew's Orthodox Church in Riverside last night (Antiochian, for those of you who want to know). It began at 5 with Vigil. At about 7 we started the liturgy, and wrapped up at 9. There were 7 priests cocelebrating, including two Fr. Andrews. I didn't wear my kilt ( ), and I was covered up in my cassock anyway.
Today, I am, as usual, kilted; I just have a good excuse today.

Happy St Andrew's day to all.
Kevin, I can tell you from personal experience that nothing is more comfortable to wear under your cassock than a kilt.
( ... but nothing is probably the only thing that's more comfortable than a kilt. )
