Hmm, don't know from the clay resin stuff...thought that was to make the mold from. I'm partial to metal but willing to experiement.
A forge in the basement....?

I guess I thought the badge was metal and the prototype was clay. Either way it'll work for me.

I have final version of the Cap Badge done except for the lettering. Then I can take a silicone mold from it and start making these up. Three, maybe five more days.

Ooooh, I'll get you, Steve and your innovation and new products, too!
I'm in for one of these, too. Color to-be-determined.
I had said to myself (shortly after getting my first kilt), "Maybe I can wear a kilt full-time, but I don't think I can pull off a hat." Famous last words.
This is just the thing to make me think I can wear the hat, too.
Now, which one? Can someone who's been around for awhile point me to some different options (via threads here)? I've got a soft spot for a beret for various reasons; how do they look with kilts? PMs okay so as not to hijack the thread.

The military berets work. I managed to find a nice royal blue one. If you look at some of the older images you'll find them in use - even sans the pom-pom. A lined beret will duplicate the same look.
I was partial to baseball caps or a Stetson, but they are hard to carry easily on a motorcycle. A beret rolls up real nice and fits just about anywhere. With my loss of hair, the doc tells me a hat is mandatory.
