Sanford, that is indeed the type of jacket I am after. However, after searching tartanweb.com I couldn't find that particular jacket from the image. Have I got the spelling of the web address wrong, perhaps?

They made that jacket several years ago. I haven't seen it on their website for some time, but I would certainly enquire.

Sorry Michael, but the significance of that calculation is (temporarily) escaping me! What am I missing, apart from a brain? Take care, Ham.

If you want a true 18th C. configured jacket, Missy Clark at "Barkertown Sutlery" is an excellent source. She's very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. Most of my period duds were made by her....

Hamish, my apologies! I was referring to the number of kilts you have. (I know, I know, it's not a race!)

Aye, as Brian stated, Missy Clark does an excellent job. Many of the Jacobite reenactors use her and she knows her historical garments. slainte' Malcolm

Yeah, but I like Ancienne Alliance's offer of a trip to France! Nicer than my pad near Camster (and probably in better condition). I'd bring some very good single malt old as the hills and smooth as velvet if I take them up on it!
