Your interest and skill in photography certainly shows here. I like what we call your "study" shots whereby you home in from a larger subject to capture finer detail. Are you using any enhancements such as adobe? Your exposures are all perfect. I enjoy picture taking too but wish I could go that extra mile like yours. Thanks for sharing, enjoyed them very much.

Thanks for your generous remarks DarkIslander. Yes, I do optimize the images using Adobe Lightroom but its all for nothing if the exposures are bad to start with.

Excellent pictures Phil, I hope you had a great time! If there's a meet in Edinburgh next time I'll be there.

Are you shooting in RAW? I'm assuming you are if you're using Lightroom, but then you'd also know that even with bad exposures, you'd be able to recover them quite well. Don't get me wrong, it's better to get it right in camera, but Raw+Lightroom=good stuff. I've fallen in love with the Beta 2.0.

Yup - RAW and Lightroom can work a treat for sure. I've steered clear of 2.0 for now though I'll be on it in the end. Having said that - getting the exposure right can save an awful lot of time and reduce shadow noise - but don't get me started!
