My main hobby is photography... Mainly nature photography, with some miscellaneous subjects mixed in... A couple weeks ago, we had some thunderstorms here in the Seattle area. Got a few shots from both storms, but not many keepers. Below is the best shot I got, from the June 29th storm.

Other hobbies include working on computers and playing tech support for the family, working on old Swedish cars, gardening, hiking, etc... Currently between jobs, but do some computer tech support on the side. Not as much as I'd like, but, due to the .com bubble bursting a few years ago, the tech support market is a bit oversaturated.

Thanks, man. Usually, the Seattle area just gets thundershowers, if anything, but, this year has been rather active...

Contrary to what some people think, I do not spend all my free time at Hooters. I do like going there though.
My interests:
Civil Air Patrol - I am the Deputy Commander for Seniors (as opposed to cadets) at my squadron. I am fully qualified on ground team and almost finished with my qualification for ground team leader. In the two years I have been a member, I have been on four actual missions.
Singing - A few years ago I discovered I didn't mind getting in front of people to sing. It's mostly karaoke, but I also sang once with my brother's band and have participated in talent contests on cruises. What I mostly sing is country, but have been know to do some other stuff as well. To get an idea of my range, think George Strait - I'm not comparing myself to him, but his songs are real easy for me to do.
Ballroom Dancing - I am in my fourth month of ballroom dance classes and I am having a ball. We are learning American style, and I hve taken classes in Waltz, Foxtrot, Swing, Rumba, Cha Cha, and Tango. I have discovered that the tango is my dance.
Reading - This always has been and always will be one of my favorite activities. Mostly fantasy and science fiction, but I have recently begun to also enjoy histories and military fiction.
Travel - My one true passion in life. My goal is to visit every nation and every World Heritage site. So far, I have set foot in 20 different nations and have visited 44 world heritage sites (there are currently 878 and they add a few every year).
We're fools whether we dance or not, so we might as well dance. - Japanese Proverb

Dancing, cooking, woodworking, tooling about in my Mustang convertible, and searching for the perfect martini and gin and tonic.

Cooking, hunting, bowfishing, reading, processing my own meat, sausage making. Yes, I do most if not all of it kilted.

It sounds like we should all hang out!
Let's see...hiking and camping.
I am also a music junkie (CDs/Vinyl).
I have been singing and playing guitar for about 20 years, and mandolin for the last 10. I would love to try out a bouzouki or octave mandolin just to see what it feels like - I especially like the celtic flavored zouk...
Also supposed to be getting SCUBA certified in the next eight weeks (sound familiar?)
Have been a kiltie for years, but I have managed to keep the addiction under control...until I found y'all...thanks, guys & gals.
