Read before posting? Now where's the fun in that? If you do, you might actually learn something!

I just voted and yes I read the entire thread, there are times when I don't but that really is not that often, another thing I have learned the hard way is to check the date the thread started.

I too have contributed to this thread being created (sorry Jamie!).
I say, yes, read as much of it as you can, or at least scan through to see if the mods have asked you not to post anything.

I didn't read this entire thread so I hope I'm not repeating what someone else said here. I think it's a good idea to attempt to read an entire thread before responding but I don't believe you have to. If you come into a thread with many pages and you don't have a lot of time to read it I see no problem with posting before you come to the end of the thread.

I voted for reading the whole thread. If I want to respond to an early message and haven't finished reading the thread yet, I usually earmark stuff as I go along and use the quote-plus button, which snags the messages I'm reacting to and assembles them into the editing box when I hit the "post reply" button.
I also have a habit of using the "Preview Post" button to not only see how my composition looks, but to see if someone beat me to the punch.
Regards,
Rex.

Bingo!
Seriously...
I think people should feel free to make the choice that fits them best.
Kilt forums should fit like a kilt, not pants.
No one should feel silly over a forum post.
