Dont own a UK...yet. That'll prolly change soon. Just not crazy bout the price tho. There are alternatives that are a little more wallet freindly ;)

My first kilt was a black workmans UK, to wear at a wedding if you can believe it. It was the start of the addiction. I have a green camo original, which is really great for lighter casual wear. These days I prefer my tartan kilts for going out, but it's usually a UK if "going out" means the hardware store or even grocery store.
from both southern US coasts.

welcome to xmts. I own a black original, black workman, tan mocker, and tan survival. I love them all. I also find myself shopping for tartan kilts more often lately. I wear my UKs as often as I can. I wear my USAK semi-trad more for dressing up a bit. My UKs are my day to day wear.

I myself have a black original utilikilt. I also just ordered my third USA Kilt and am very happy with both products. I do agree with Nerts, though, there is nothing like wearing your family tartan, it makes you walk at least two feet taller than you are.
