    AW the 1st KILT

In my case, my 1st KILT was a hand made "period" Kilt ( early 1800s) by a Kilt maker/Historian, here in Seattle. over 8 years ago ( he also made the Jacket.) The Kilt is a "Black Douglas" ( my family") It has a High waist & is box pleated. ( Note it uses buttons to close instead of straps. & the Hose are SILK as are the 'garters" ) )

The 1st pix are of the tartan & one of my "period" looks. The second pix is it being worn for "business" wear.

Then the addiction began ith:ith: I know, I now have 12 =+ another "tank" on the way.

My next KILT was a "fitted" DoD issue Black Watch about a year later.

Kilt on my friend, kilt on.

A Gunn Modern from Celtic Croft. I wanted it for St. Paddy's Day 2007 for the local parade. It didn't make it. We pulled into the driveway a couple of hours later guess what was sitting on the porch. A package from the Crofts.

At the time, I couldn't believe I'd spent just over $200 for the kilt. And a belt. And a buckle. And a sporran. And a pair of hose.

What a long, strange trip it's been.
Why, a child of five could understand this. Quick -- someone fetch me a child of five!
