Since you want this out in the open

Snooping in my mail box, were you? How ungentlemanly.

It seems to me that you have vented as much criticism, usually aimed at chiefs and peers, as just about anyone else on this forum. When I have expressed critical opinion, it has never been laced with snide innuendo-- or the direct comment-- that, because of an individual's status "he should know better". This sort of critique, it seems, is your forte.
It would seem to me that rather than huffing and puffing about the way clan chiefs dress, or being chagrined over a posting that reflects the attitude of Scots who find it mildly annoying to see themselves hectored by yourself -- as to matters of "appropriate" Highland dress -- you might do well to consider the source of the kilt and then reflect on this: In Scotland the kilt is worn as a matter of custom, not costume.
And then ask yourself if the same is true where you live.

Now where did I put that asbestos kilt and Nomar Tweed Argyll Jacket? I never seem to be able to find it when I need it.

Gentlemen, this thread has veered far off the intended purpose, the thread has also been reported to the Moderating Council. We have reviewed the thread, as it has degenerated into a series of personal attacks; this to our mind goes against the spirit of the rule which states:
Be Courteous to all Members
Please try to be courteous to all members. Please treat others as you would like to be treated.
Therefore it is our decision to close the thread.
