Where is this bookstore? I seem to have misplaced my copy of Mein Kampf. I feel certain they carry it.

Luke, just keep in mind that current laws might prohibit an employer to give the details of your separation from the company. Whether it was your choice or theirs might not be legally available.
Check into that before deciding how your resumé might look. You might be able to explain it without going into details.

Luke,
You obviously have little time before you are supposed to report for work, but I agree that you should investigate what information a former employer can provide about your employment in Wisconsin. I would also take the time (as recommended in previous posts) to document to the fullest extent the encounter and verbiage used by the "Manager". I think this would prove most useful with the unemployment office and other legal entities if so inclined.
Good luck with everything and I hope you find another job with greater satisfaction soon. Let us know how it all goes.

I inadvertantly* did an interview kilted. Did NOT pan out.
Interviews are the one place where I conform to "business casual" at a minimum.
*Was wearing a kilt when I dropped off the app, and the boss asked if I'd interview right then...
