Barb Tewksbury will be making the kilt. I just designed the tartan.

I'd take a waistcoat, if anyone's making them. As a homage to Hamish, of course.

    Enjoy every sandwich.

This is really neat. A wonderful gesture for a deserving icon.

JUST, he says! So we have a RockyR design (with HM input and approval), and a BT build. Now, Hamish, you must return to rollicking good health very, very quickly so we can have a Grange-garden look at the result of all this.

A great tribute, in a fine tartan, to a true gentleman, designed by a true friend

It's been said, but I'll say it again.

Very nice looking cloth. Now we all want to see Hamish strolling around in it. Maybe jogging. Walking his armed guards and angry dogs. Or was that armed dogs and angry guards? Whatever. The important thing is we wish Hamish a quick respite from his being under the weather and to see him in his new kilt.
I wish I believed in reincarnation. Where's Charles Martel when you need him?

Fabulous, well done Rocky, an excellent honour for Hamish.

A really admirable design of tartan - at first it looks fairly simple, but coherent, nothing jarring - but then you notice the details and you begin to realise just what thought went into it - and talent too.

Then it will be passed to Barb T to be made. (envious sigh)

What better fabric and maker for the kilt of a man who dresses with the same skill?

As for hanging space - doesn't everyone use the 8 ft long double height metal clothes rails with the racks for shoes? I'd have thought that two of them would be the absolute minimum requirement for everyday items, with the three chests of drawers for non tailored items, plus the storage for out of season items of course.....
