Well, I registered, liked on the book of faces, and even shared on my wall. http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.p...7725288&v=wall
And if anyone wants to friend me, please mention that you are on XMTS, with your screen name. (Or one of the other forums I follow, such as RoadBikeReview).

is there way to enter without sharing our personal social networks to the world, im all for entering but what guarantee do i have that the data i need to show isnt going to end up in the wrong hands or my personal social sites open to spammers that can see the information on sites like this
is it possible to show a photoshop image of a social site..... for example can i use screen capture image from my facebook but blur all other data and my name including my friends and there comments
and for the need to "Like" the scotweb page again i dont mind that but myself and my buddies can tend to get up to some crazy stuff and at times especially at parties and can say and do things that are not strictly what you would call politicly correct !
how do i know if i do or say something that to my friends will know as a joke but to the person running your facebook page may be seen in the highest offense which could result in bother in part for something that has nothing to do with them
sorry for the crazy questions its just im a personal person and i don't add anyone or "Like" sites i don't know be it a business or a person im all for spreading the word but i don't think this has been thought through too much in regards to personal privacy
my facebook has details like my mobile phone number email and even gps co-ords of my home.... data that could be used wrongly by other members with evil intent

Very valid questions, Scott.
That is why (in my case) I linked to my Myspace blog, I have more control over that site (what is seen, or not) than I do facebook.
(& I realize its not an option for everyone.)

I'm in, Nick. A GREAT idée from a GREAT Company.
If I'm right, we don't HAVE to use facebook or twitter?

Any other way to participate in the contest?
Write something about Scotweb on XMarks and use that!
