Man it is!!! It's funny. Every morning I wake let my dog out, put food in her bowl and check to see if my beer is still bubbling. I have my bottles cleaned and ready to be sanitized and my secondary fermentation container ready to go. Once my gravity levels out I'll be back to work. I CAN'T wait to drink this BEER!!!!!

I'll second that. It's not going to be your final gravity, and all it will tell you later was that more fermentation occurred... Which you already know (more or less) because it's bubbling.

I've been home brewing for close to 20 years, of course I've slacked off as of late...haven't really brewed any beer in a couple of years now, but I have tried my hand at ciders and similar beverages. Would Like to get into lagering, but since I live in Florida, that would require a refrigerating unit to make that a reality.

Letting the spent yeast and other drub settle out is a good way to clarify your beverage, adding clarifying agents is sometimes a must...

As you get more into it you'll find that you'll want to keg your beer rather than bottle it...less work.

    Good luck with brewing.

That's the easy wait... The hard part is waiting for bottle conditioning.

x2 on that. Bottling a Scotch Ale this weekend and if I can find the time starting a Vanilla Porter batch as well.

So today there was no bubbling. So I just transferred the beer to a bottling carboy I also took the first gravity reading. I couldn't help but sip on the beer I used to take the gravity reading to see if it was even close to good.

It's really good! It isn't carbonated and isn't fully developed but no off flavors and it's got a kick to it too. I'll be bottling soon if the gravity remains level. Then I'll get into my second batch. This is FUN!

And So it Begins....Welcome to the addictive world of home brewing. Before too long, you want to go from the malt extract and partial grain kits and recipes to a full grain brewing setup with a mash tun, lauter tun, multi-stage system. I suspect you'll also want to experiment with possibly malting your own grains or making ciders, and other interesting beverages.
