    Re: Skunk Fur Dress Sporran

PBS had a cute promo ad a few years back, with a skunk wandering through a family's home. It kept going around corners just before a person would have seen it, finally ended up on the bed next to the napping husband. Then the camera panned to a family photo that made it obvious the skunk was a pet, with the message about keeping an open mind.

They never said what its name was, though

Loudon Wainwright would be a funny name for a pet skunk, better yet, a skunk sporran: Dead Skunk in the Middle of the Road.

My next door neighbor had a pet skunk when I was a kid. We used to go over and play with it. I could see having one as a pet.

*Shrug* Why not. Sounds like a perfectly good sporran name: "Dead sporran in the middle of the road, stink'n to high heaven."

    Re: Skunk Fur Dress Sporran

If I do get a pet skunk, would it be wrong of me to name it Sporran?
My friend has a pet husky named "sporran"! Perhaps it is just in "training" for greater things...
