Re: Show us your ink
this is the only fairly decent picture i can find of mine, on this computer. but its on my right pectoral muscle, its the Celtic tree of life. with the back ground filled in with black. i have plans for about 3-4 more; all animals that i have worked with/protected in my various conservation jobs. i chose this be cause i am very much a 'natural' guy and i love all things living and wild and green and you name it, interesting fact, the girl n the left of the picture has the same tattoo but a bit smaller and hers has the branches filled in instead of the back ground like mine. the girls are 2 of my good friends from college from one of the times wee went swimming (the water was freezing! but it was September in Vermont!)

Re: Show us your ink
Modified celtic knot of dolphin and hound my son designed for me almost six years ago and done then. Decided to add the thistle wreath above it last year. Since this picture have had a wee touch-up to pump more color in spots and looks even better.
Glad I did it!!

Meghan,
All us big barbaric hairy dudes are magic, if we are in a kilt!
Wait, did I say that out loud?

Re: Show us your ink
I guess I should add myself to this. I have been getting tattoos since 1956. My first 50 or so were all "Navy" designs. After that I branched out into other designs. As you can see in the pic, if you look closely, every area of exposed skin has a tattoo. Now when I go to get another one it is a case of finding something that will fit the area, or designing something to fit. They are almost as addictive as kilts.

For whatever reason, trying to understand why anyone would want a tattoo is like trying to get our Scottish Terrier to understand differential calculus.

Re: Show us your ink
Sorry,
Everyone in my family has one.
My brother is a tatoo artist.
I know what it would be (Marine Corps emblem on my left deltoid)
I've just never been drunk enough.

Re: Show us your ink
don't be drunk, go in cold stone sober, it is the only way to get a tattoo and I bet your brother will tell you so also.
