Checking out the freshly finished kilt at dance class to see if it had the right stuff. It did.

Emerging from the Cathedral Steps through the glacial rocks of Loon Mountain NH.
The passage dips in the middle but you can just make out a chink of light from the entrance on the other side.
And no I didn't meet JRB among the rocks, see post #6.

Nothing all that new, but I didn't have my camera with me last week when making kilted snow angels...

Not quite what Alan asked for, but I was going to wear pan!s to church this morning.

At -38F going out to the driveway to start the car was 'doing something,' hopefully adequate to the spirit of the thread. Current (mid day) accuweather temp is -42F, slow sever at www.newsminer.com .

I stand by my hypothesis last year that a wool tank is a fine piece of winter gear for standing still or walking short distances. Walking briskly or middling far distances, not a good idea.

No, I am not going to drag my tripod and camera out in the cold with me.

Edit: I grabbed a screenshot off the local newspaper homepage linked above:

Re: The Action Kilt Pic Challenge

Well this mixes a bit of what I did on New Years Eve and action photos kilted. Being a balmy 60 degrees Dec. 31st we opted for the peace and quiet camping. We have a favorite primitive area we "car camp" at. Nothing is nicer than having my girl friend with me, a roaring oak fire and some fine brews and scotch. Very peaceful sleeping and a nice brisk, the weather changed to 32F the next day, trail run together. So here is to kilted action shots, quite a fun thread, and a Happy New Year to all.

Me by my faithful favorite tent in Elkommando kilt.

Proving yes I do have a girl friend that actually likes me in my kilts, lucky me indeed.

Some goodies from New Years Eve drinking.

    Pre run breakfast.

Ready to hit the trails for a wonderful start to 2012. I am very fortunate to have my friend in my life to share these things.
