    There's a Tribal Among You - BooShoo

    Greetings from the Pacific NW,

It appears that they are indeed a few Kilt Wearing Gentlemen and Ladies out and about, across the world here on the X Marks the Scot.

I have been asked by Steve to post some sort of introduction, so I ask your patience as I attempt to do so:

BooShoo Ani ( a greeting in 'Anishinabe language ),

Thank you for your welcome to the Forum. I am a Indigenous Tribal man of the Shawnee/'Anishinabe/Ayuniwaya/Comanche Nation, Traditionalist, with Long (graying rapidly) hair, and a fairly new Grandfather (3 yrs), and Veteran of Military Service ( 9+ Yrs). In addition, I am a keeper of our Tribal Traditions and have religious obligations within our Tribal Communities.

There has always been stories, within our family, of our Native People mixing family ties with the Scotts. Recently though, within the last year, I have found that these stories are indeed true, to a startling extent. It appears that I cannot win, now finding Warriors on all sides of our family, as I've come to find a direct connection not only to Clan Colquhoun, but directly to Sir John Colquhoun, Knight & 13th Clan Chief of Colquhoun / 15th of Luss, with all those Clan Leaders before and after.

So, simply it appears that in addition to our family's strong indigenous roots, we find ourselves with some strong and interesting Highlander ties. This brings very different energy, some positive, some weighted to our family. It is though, a path that we are stepping carefully into, to embrace an understanding that hopefully will bring a continued positive future.

I look forward to the stories, interaction, friendship and learning we'll have along the way within this Forum.
