I remember trying to explain the Scruffy Wallace tartan to someone....yeah, that glazed over look that they get when their completely lost......fun stuff.

Usually reply that Isle of Skye is a "fashion tartan." Often asked about the tartan when wearing a solid tan Utilikilt Workman's and reply "Clan Carhartt." The cashier at Tractor Supply thought that was hilarious.

According to the STA and STR notes is was a new tartan for the 2009 Homecoming designed by Trudi Ainsworth of the House of Edgar.

Makes sence...I wasn't sure...I know I read somewhere that the chief had something to do with it...but that could simply be that he had them make it, or even simpler...that he wears it. Thank you for the clarification.
