Same kilt as in post 23, casual USA Kilt in XMTS but with a totally different look. I didn't have to work at the office today!

Okay, Ern...you really don't wear that outfit enough in the summer -- your legs are SO WHITE compared to your arms. Your legs really scream for hose..... Now, would this be modern/contemporary or THCD? I am thinking the white legs make it modern.

To my eye, that's a much more modern look than the last one you posted. And don't give a thought to the peanut gallery about your white shanks... mine are even paler than yours
Who else has got some photos to share? There have been a couple links posted to old threads, but Steve is going to need a lot of images for his proposed visual guide!

Not sure if this is "modern" or not. I am thinking that maybe the black shirt throws this look into modern as opposed to THCD. My first time out wearing my new buckle mentioned in another thread.

I am debating on whether to get involved in this thread or not. It's seriously tempting, on the other hand.......

If you don't feel like getting mired in the discussion surrounding terms and definitions, I hope you'll at least post some pics!

Alan, do hope you will post your pics. Get involved in discussions if you wish but do post your pics. After all you are the Father of the X-Kilt!

Go for it Alan!
I am really disappointed and surprised that those that know far more about modern kilt styles than I shall ever know, have not taken up the cause in this thread. Yes, I expect the devil may well be in the detail, no surprises there then, but now is the chance to iron out a few aspects of modern kilt attire and perhaps, some of the mis-understadings that have bedevilled this subject for too long. Perhaps the subject is just not as relevant as some may have thought? I really know not, but I am beginning to wonder.
