I have a pinstripe kilt suit, it is quite striking but without the sporran, it does look like a legal secretary's business outfit, which has quite put me off wearing it as often but I also have a 21st Century Kilt suit in navy blue which does look smart. I also have bought a nice Harris Tweed kilt suit which is a bit more traditional. But to be honest it is a case of wear whatever you feel like and we can get too hung up on who wears what and how I'd love to order from TFCK but I would have to re mortgage first

I must admit that I'm not a fan of all tartan kilt or trews suits, much too busy for me. Then looking at the " massed " photo, I'm not a fan of those kilt pockets, it looks like some strange part of the waist coat. Though I wouldn't object to hidden pockets even in a traditional kilt As for tweed kilts, I'm not sure, a strongly patterned one I might like. As for solid colour kilts the Only one I'm sure I like is is the "Dark Island" tartan patterned black kilt ( especially since I used to live there) I do wonder if there is a connection between tweed and tartan since both are woven in the highlands.
