I have used a variation by asking "Can you keep a secret? Good so can I."

So far I have yet get a follow up question after that one.

Creeping up from behind has to be done with great care! Mistaken identity could result in a very awkward situation - the defence might well not be believed!

Angie dear. I like the playfulness you and your husband keep in your relationship. Tell your man to remember, "it's all in good fun until someone comes home with a hand print on their face from mistaken identity." Note: you did say there weren't many kilted women in your town.

Tarheel , Lol and Thank you.. Yeh we try to keep things fun lol. I would have to laugh my butt off if he gets his face smacked or punched debating on whom he accidentally gets playful with the wrong kilted person ....But it would be funny lol... Hope all is well..Angie

Good for you Angie. Back on topic, as it is not often one comes across a female wearing a kilt and sporran casually, has anyone ever asked you the question when you are wearing your kilt, male or female? Since you've been married at least, husband excepted, as he evidently finds out for himself. And what would your response be?
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Tpa, Hi ! I've been asked by BOTH. My response to both is .. I wear shorts ( slip shorts actually, they are form fitting) and tell them I'm allergic to wool where my kilts start and end is where my shorts cover lol.. Then I pull up a little one side of my kilt on leg and show I have shorts on.. I got nice legs, lol, I don't mind....I can understand how the question can get drawn out for you guys or if women act like jerks.. No one should cross the line... Hope all is well ..Angie

Inverness Bar Staff Give Up Wearing the Kilt

The old situation, but it has got too much for the bartenders in this Inverness pub.

I haven't run into this problem yet, maybe I am too old.
