Maybe it is just me, but I cannot to tell the purpose of this thread any longer. Perhaps that is ok, and I am just one person, but I am a bit lost. I don't see where kilts are a factor here. Again, maybe that is ok, and I will just move on to a different thread.

Seriously, what's going on? I didn't check this forum for a while.. a good while while I'm busy with a full-time job, being a full-time student, and etc.. I'm on the summer break from college, and thought I'd visit one of my favorite forums. I already noticed some were rude to each others for simply expressing their opinions regardless if it's right or not. Some were too defensive for that as well as to be offended. As I browse through some posts, and I thought some of us really need to grow up, learn to respect the others' opinion even if you happen to not agree with them, and represent yourself properly as a gentleman, or a lovely lady in this forum.

I joined this forum more than a year ago.. we were a bunch of happy folks sharing our joys for donning a kilt. Sure, there were a few minor hiccups naturally, but almost no one made a big deal out of it. Where have that crowd gone? I felt like this is not the same XMTS I once knew.

I'm hoping this is a simple case of a big hiccup that should be remedied quickly.

I call this the "Summer Serious". I don't know why, but on many of the social media sites and on a lot of forums I haunt, everyone seems easier to offend and more prone to speaking out in the summer. Again, I have no idea why.

Probably the same reason I hear a lot of semi-auto weapon fire and police helicopters around here. Long hot summer nights.
