Can you see these? You'll probably have to click on them to see them full size, but they still should be visible.

Fergus: I hope you don't mind, but I saved your pics to my computer and then uploaded them as attachments. That's always worked for me on here since I don't tend to save images beyond my own machine. And don't worry, I've already deleted them.

I'm beginning to think mine may partially look the way it does in the back because of the set size.

I wager mine looks just like yours, seeing's how they're the same make. And I also think your kilt and kit look great. Do you feel good in it? Because that's really the important question. I think we all strive to wear the kilt proudly and confidently, whether it's a top notch custom made or an off the shelf like ours. We each develop an individual style, and then we change as we learn (often from this esteemed Rabble) and become more comfortable in the wearing of it. I'll also wager that when you wear this kilt out and about you'll receive smiles and curious questions and positive comments. It always happens. That's the allure of the kilt and its wearer. Carry on!

I feel fine in it Fergus, as you know it is a very comfortable kilt.
There are some things that I actually like more about it than my more expensive kilt, and I have received just as many or more complements about it as the more expensive one. Its also nice not having to worry about messing it up somehow.

A while back someone was asking about the feasibility of wearing a fancy fur sporran (IIRC it was the only one he owned) while otherwise casually dressed. I pointed out that he was asking a forum full of people familiar with the standards of traditional Highland dress, while the majority of people he'd encounter in North America are not. I've yet to have someone recognize that my self-made kilts are, design-wise, just pocketless utility kilts rendered in wool and PV tartan with a few traditional details added; rather, I get the same compliments and questions everyone here seems to report receiving while kilted, whether in a traditional "tank", a USA Kilts Casual, or a Pakistani number like the UTs in this thread. Come to think of it, my tartan utility kilts invoked pretty much the same reaction...even before I depocketed them.

Here's an update on this fascinating subject...
But first a big thank you for all of the comments, both positive and negative.
Dollander, today think I finally fully understood what you were describing before.I pressed and pressed but can't get this thing to hang without buckling. It Seems that the pleats start out around 3/4" and the last sewn part of the pleat at 1" then the pleats end up roughly 1.25" at the bottom. There is no way it will hang straight, there is more material at the bottom than the top.
Why did they make it this way?
P.S. I hate those blue socks. It looks like a clown outfit.
