I also get a kick out P1Ms writting. I read it aloud sometimes just to "hear" the way my Grandmother spoke to us. I do not believe it is meant to be detrimental or insulting. It is refreshing and humorus to a lot of us. Please keep it up P1M or I shall have to come to Dumfries and thrash you.

Aye, I thoroughly enjoy Robertson's posts in Lallans. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it, even if English is the main language used on these forums. It's entertaining and educational. How many people have been educated on the difference between Scots and Gaelic simply by asking what in tarnation P1M is writing? How much flavor is added to X Marks by the posts? From my meagre studies of it, he's writing authentically enough and I don't think any of us know him well enough to say he's a "wannabe".

No need for "wannabee" commentary from the peanut gallery. I was born in Scotland and emigrated to Canada.

To me, this is "tourist trap" talk. Don't kid yourself that this would represent a dialect. There are too many variations in Scotland to write something that would sound vaguely Gaelic, nevermind the tempo and lilts that you're not hearing.

I get a total kick out of the minor decifering i have to do when reading P1M's posts. Sometimes i have to read them twice to get the full context.
It is worth it. I say keep it up P1M

Great pic! The lad is cute! I'm still trying to get my son used to wearing his kilt. He has an AK. Although, I need to get him a new one. He is starting to outgrow his AK.

Since I intend to go back to Scotland to visit, I consider it educational to have a little practice in interpreting the unfamiliar dialect.
