Herren kiltmonk unt Piipriker,
Thank you both for your Loreley pictures. They brought back memories of when I stayed in Eltville for two nights last July with My Good Lady for a concert in Johanneskirche Erbach by Finnish 6-voice a capella group Rajaton; and two nights in Campingplatz Rudesheim near Hindenbergbrucke. We also blagged our way into a row [rudern; l'aviron - not an argument!] with Ruder-Verein Eltville on the Rhine, in a coxed double scull. It was MGL's first time ever in a rowing boat, and she sat in the coxn's seat [steurman]. Did you drive to Loreley, or arrive by boat? We took a tour from Rudesheim to St Goar on a passenger-tourist barge. All the Germans on the boat broke into the famous song as we went past the Rocks. Ah, the memories! And the white wine!
I'm sure Llew enjoyed the outing, Ian.
