BTW...... Hope your feeling a bit better there, Ham!
Hi Blu,
Pleating to the yellow would have been my second choice. However, I do not really think the stripe is quite strong enough to carry a pleat. No, I'm glad I went for 'the sett'.
Thanks for asking. I think it's too early for any improvement yet, but the painkillers are working at last although the effects of them are not lasting very long. One thing I will say is that this business has given me the most miserable Christmas I can remember - apart from the pain, no outings, few visitors and no alcohol!! Oh, and a ruined Christmas dinner

I seriously thought of pleating to the yellow stripe. But like the white I thought it a bit strong. The yellow is just bright enough so that the back of the kilt would have a definite yellow cast.
I finally chose the gray stripe. It gives a subtle and muted look. Now with others chiming in I may be the only one who will pleat that way.

I'm with Ham on this, I think it will look best pleated to the sett.
And after seeing that demo I'm definitely in for a spring order!
And I'm sorry to hear that you Christmas didn't go so well. If you only weren't on the other side of the drink I'd have stopped in.

Well, the only one with fabric from the first run. I'll second the choice of the gray stripe, but it'll have to wait for the order ...

Hmmm... Looks like I'm going to have to lay this out on the bed and just eyeball it before I decide.

The second run of the X Marks Tartan is still slated for spring/summer '06.
It will depend on how soon there are enough people ready to put their money down.
Minimum order is 30 meters. Or 8 confirmed orders for enough fabric for an 8yard kilt.
