It looks great. A question to you or any other pipe band members: How much does a complete outfit like that cost or do you borrow/rent it from the band you are playing with?

Greg, I missed this the first time around, so I'm glad it got resurrected. Also glad you can continue to uphold the honor of the Gordon's, Bydand. An Gordonach!

I don't care if the thread is over a year old, I am really envious! Wish I had a uniform like that. It must cost a pretty penny, though.

I love the uniform looks great but with respect I dont like the hat, prefer a Glen or a feather bonnet with no1 dress,

Well, when I made the post back in Jan-Feb 2007 I didn't have one. Now I do. time has passed. This is a very old thread.

That one is owned by my band, but I'm the only one who wears it. I'm not exactly sure what it costs, but we're supplied by J. Higgins, so here's his prices:
Gillie brogues: $85
Hose: $17.50
Flashes: $9.50
Cross belt: $95
Piper's doublet: $350
Pipers plaid: $295
Military sporran: $250
Balmoral: $40
Kilt pin: $19.50
Brooch: $40
Dirk: $425
Sgian dubh: $40
Belt and buckle: $100
16oz. 8 yard kilt: $525
Total: $2291.50
Bagpipes and reeds: $950
Grand total in that photo: $3151.50
So yeah, I'm wearing almost $3200 worth of stuff there. Kind of intimidating...
