I would have loved to have been there...but, seriously...a couple of Scandinavians, a Hollander, a Welsh guy, a Scot and a couple of Englanders...AND they had a couople of drinks...a poor Americaner wouldn't be able to understand a word of the conversation...one of them could tell the funniest joke in the world and I wouldn't be able to get past "...here's a good one...".
I suppose, though, that maybe a couple (okay several) drinks might level the dialect playing field...
