A letter that a famous gunfighter wrote to Samuel Colt. I can't find the reference right now, but I think it was Bat Masterson. I saw the letter (or a facimilie of it) when I visited the Colt museum, and was very interested in what he had to say. Oh, and I'm probably misquoting the actual wording, but the thrust of the mesage is the same.

i'm not sure how this thread got ressurrected.
(shrugs)
it does still get me that i was denied wearing the Kilt for St Patrick's Day (of all days!)
But after showing her that there are more holidays where a kilt may be worn, she changed her mind.
