Seriously, Wear what you please. If you have the courage to wear a kilt, you should have the courage to defy the conventional wisdom.

With a shirt like that, Turpin, why bother with a kilt?

Well being the new guy on the board I certainly don’t want to cause any problems. Having one thread already closed, I want to make my intentions clear. I honestly don’t care what you do under your kilt I just wanted to find out why men still don’t wear undies and where did the regulation start from.
On the subject of indecency. I don’t think anyone would disagree on the obvious predatory behavior, but when it comes the oops factor and the views of natural exposure we all have diverse and complicated opinions on this. Especially regarding Women and Children. The subject of what is decent and indecent was not my intentions and would I would like to try to steer back to the why factor.
When It comes to Indian Garb, or African Clothing underwear isn’t a factor. So why is it such a big deal with the Celts?

And depending on the age of the child you may go to jail upon conviction. I know its unfair and injust but thats the way it is. I presume that there are no "winkied" public statues in the entire state? I have seen some interesting examples of some very strange state laws but this one is especially so and extremely subjective.

The law focus' is on the "exposure" not the intent of the exposed. Very silly if you ask me. Still not worth the risk. As far as the double standard, I argue that point with my wife all the time. Then I am reminded that freedom is not free, It takes a real effort to keep and earn the right to be an individual. Back to the historical point of "Regimental" I think the en vouge period of kilting regimental started in the trenches of ww1 when the Scotish Regiment proved to the Germans how tough they were by running through no-mans land sans under garments. I for one shudder at the thought of barbed wire getting into the sweet stuff. Still iron tuff. See ya.

I agree 100%. Now, I'm not looking to go around exposing myself to every child I see (that would certainly be criminally and morally wrong!), for that matter I don't WANT to expose myself to anyone (well, other than the Mrs. and my Dr.). But at the same time we really don't seem to know the difference between sexuality/sexual behavior and nudity here in a America. There's no reason a child (or parent) should be disturbed, offended, horrified, disgusted, or otherwise put out by an ACCIDENTAL flashing, because it's nothing but body parts. On the flip side of that, the person doing the flashing should be grateful and relieved when someone points it out (if they didn't already know).
There's nothing I can add to histocrity of regimental kilt wearing, but I'll say this for modern kilt wearing... Do what you like and what makes you feel comfortable. I'll keep doing the same!

Well, since they don't seem to teach anatomy until they teach "Sex ED", I'm guess that's what they're thinking... Again, no separation between the two!

Okay, this one is now starting to walk a very fine line guys. Let's bring it back to the original question and keep it on track or it will be locked down.

It works great. In the hot and humid Michigan summers. When kilted at Ren Faires and even in my modern kilt, this has become a necessary mainstay of what is carried in my sporran. I put it on before the kilt and maybe once during the day, if I'm outside for 8-10 hours. It works great, and I never have to worry about chaffing at all...
I'll give it a go
