I bought two Hawaiian shirts at the Good Will store a couple of days ago. One is blue with white flowers, and the other is white with blue flowers; orange doesn't look so good on me.
I plan on wearing them with my kakhi kilt and any other solid color kilts I get in the future...
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Yes,we are talking about those aughful Hawaiian shirt things again. T-shirts, solid color kilts, sandals, and an open aughful Hawaiian shirt thing.
I haven't quite figured out which kind of hat to wear with the abomanation though...
I even have a shark tooth neclace from Hawaii to go with the whole aughful outfit...

I'll be wearing it to a white tie ball.
I will say that I do not wear the aughful Hawaiian things with a tartan kilt. Only the canvas solid color kilts.
I'm noticing something here. It seems that the issue is with the dislike of Hawaiian shirts in general... The dislike of paring one with a kilt follows. Wearing a t-shirt with a kilt seems to be the same in that the people who do not like to wear or see others wear t-shirts carry that over to the t-shirt and kilt combination.
I'm not saying you are doing that, though. You seem to live and let live.

I haven't read the whole thread, just the last couple of posts. I'm not a fan of Hawaiian shirts at all. I do like t-shirts (clean, nicely fitted t-shirts of course), even with kilts.

Well, it's ok to not like the Hawaiian shirts. That's one thing, but the other side of that is that some people pick the wrong color of shirt and it... worsens the situation. By that I mean, some people like me should avoid the color orange at all cost. Other people have their colors that they look good or bad in.
