I feel your pain, I just quit in September after 25 years of cigarettes:

Sunflower seeds helped me a lot for both the oral fixation and the cravings (I didn't like to smoke while eating). Plus, if you get the unsalted, they are much better for you than candy. After the initial two weeks, it's was pretty smooth sailing until this month. For some reason I have been having cravings for a nice cigar. I assume it's just my addiction is making a last-ditch effort to reclaim it's hold on me. Now that I have kicked the smoking habit, I need to work on my sunflower seed addiction.
Congratulations and good luck. Just keep at it and eventually, life will be a whole lot sweeter.
