what is your answer for wearing a kilt

I have a couple of responses question "Why the Kilt?' Answer "Question is not why the kilt, the question is why not" or "You didn't get the memo?" or " I saw this vision during the last full moon" I use these on cynical people who really can't handle the truth

I have a wide range of answers depending on how much time and interest I have in speaking with the person asking.

I have found that the shortest and best explanation to be

"My wife thinks that men in kilts are sexy, therefore..."

My favorite response to this explanation is when I'm told "And boy is she right!"
