As has been said, maybe it is the fabric or the colours so often seen, or the fact that they are so large, but they also look so untidy and, indeed, take from the essential visual attraction of the kilt itself.

Well that settles it! How can I argue with the legend himself? Next time I mention ruche ties it will be in reference to burning them. Nice to hear from you Ham and if it took something like ruche ties to pull ya outta retirement then it was all worth it!
