Re: For All Who Serve
I have a total of just over 30 years of service in the USAF and USAF Reserves. I started out as a Security Specialist on active duty. I then joined the Air National Guard as an undergraduate in college. I cross trained into Aerial Port. After doing that for about eight years, in both the Air Guard and Reserves, I had the chance to cross into the intelligence career field with another Reserve unit.
Of the 30 years of total service, about 15 have been on active duty. My original enlistement was 6 years but over the past ten, I worked a lot of active duty time.
I enjoy what I do and I plan to stay in as long as they let me.

Re: For All Who Serve
I served for 2 years, most of it as chief of a service, at the US Army Hospital, Ft. Jackson, SC. That was part of 35+ years as an active physician/surgeon. Could not have had a better, more rewarding life.

Four years active duty in the USMC, 1968=1972, including an all expense paid tour of SE Asia. I now fight as a civilian contractor on the cyber front, working with No Such Agency.

Re: For All Who Serve
Only Medical:
Physician for the National Health Service (division of the Public Health Service).
Also, did a good number of medical volunteer work for the armed forces as a civilian and then as a member of the Public Health Service.
I must applaud those of you that have served in the armed forces, because I sleep safe at night because of your brave service.

Myself, only Navy League Cadets, Royal Canadian Army Cadets, then briefly commissioned in the Cadet Instructors List. Like xman I learned a lot.
In WWI Grandfather was a Sergeant in the 24th Btn Victoria Rifles in Europe. In WWII Mom was a Staff Sergeant in the Canadian Women's Army Corps, and Dad was a Flight Sergeant Navigator in Lancasters with the Royal Canadian Air Force.
