Piper, If you get into Asheville, there is a place right off 240 near downtown, called the Chop Shop Butchery, they might be able to help. It's at 100 Charlotte St. and has a website. 828 505-3777. Give them a call.

Trader Joe's carries "naked" kosher brisket. There is one opening "soon" in Asheville.

Around here March 17th is an official holiday. Not because the "Pattys" want to get drunk and fight, but because it's an important day in American history, Evacuation day.
As for the Paddy/Patty debate, I go with Patty every time. Hell, the Irish, at least the ones around here are a bunch of Pattys. They freely pilfer the pipes, and kilts from Scottish culture, but leave the haggis behind? Thanks a lot.

First time I'd ever heard of that. Apparently, it's been an official holiday since 1938, but only in Suffolk County, Mass.

I'm going to Samuel's today, to get some Medjool dates and assorted sundries. I hope they have a brisket. If not, I'll use top round.

'Patty' should only refer to the meat filling of a beef burger or Marge Simpson's sister. Never heard 'Patty's Day' before I came across some Canadians using it. No one in Ireland uses the term, ever!
And if beer is green, there's something seriously wrong with it.

amen, brother!
I avoid that sh!te like the plague. They had green beer at several of the places I piped at over the weekend... looks nasty.
For me, drink should be a deep amber, or better black, or even better clear.
