Well you're not the only one. I've got a very nice Strickjacke for casual wear. Like:

A neighbor and I have agreed to attend an upcoming Oktoberfest together, he in Trachtenmode, and me of course totally kilted up. As they say in the "Highlands" of Germany, "Prost!"

Not even variations in monitor color could account for the difference.
No clue why they would misrepresent the color...but they have. Maybe some day the Lewis hose folks will make their lovely kilt hose in an American Khaki color.
Which one of these three do you call khaki Ron?
I ask, because the one shown as Khaki was never an US uniform colour. Cheers

Since starting this thread I've acquired quite a few pairs of hose, but the only American Khaki ones I've found are Pennine shooting socks, and they aren't for the guy with large calves. Nevertheless, I know have a collection of hose in interesting colors.

I'm not sure where you got that information, DK... That color listed as Khaki has been the basis of a number of current as well as historical US military uniforms. US Navy Chiefs and Officers, just as one current example. This color in the Navy goes back to before WW2...

I relied on the research done on this site. It appears the researcher has done quite a bit, going through old military records. Cheers
