Kilt Kamp 2014 is over. All Kampers have departed, leaving the shop strangely quiet and rather empty. A few might stop back by on Saturday morning after spending some time touring the city (The Wizard is taking some to the Royal BC Museum on Friday morning.)
A few final photographs ...
The kilt in Taylor Tartan, backed by a myriad of colours from the off-the-rack kilts.

Dixicat's lovely tartan..

So bright!

The Patriot tartan kilt, almost ready for the lining.

Truitt finished his Contemporary Kilt in the Antarctic tartan.

DaniMac finished her ACU Digital Camouflage Contemporary Kilt, but slipped out before I got a final photograph.
The remaining Kampers still have a bit to do on their creations, but will be sure to post here.
For those of you thinking about attending a Kilt Kamp, Barb is already talking about Kilt Kamp 2015 in New York!
As a final note, Barb bequeathed her tartan tights to Steve ..... Obviously, the tights are going to be a tradition. Here they are, looking slightly exhausted (and in need of a few repair stitches)...

Barb, I'm in hopes that by bequeathing those tartan tights to Steve that he has to bring them to kilt kamp every year, not necessarily wear them.... LOL.....I'm thinking they will scare the women and children in the neighborhood......

Thanks for such a wonderful photo-documentary of the week, I may have to work some time into my schedule for next year's East Coast camp!
I've got a growing boy who is already on his third kilt (and second sporran). Knowing how to make them would be most helpful.

On behalf of those of us who had to go home and bleach our eyes...Thank you for illustrating the outer limits of the passion for tartan. If spandex could talk...

Wonderful de'pic'tion of the progressive steps of kilt-making! I enjoyed that very much, and I got to see what some of the XMarkers look like. Very nice! Thanks.

What you don't see of the tartan tights are pics of Steve wearing only he tartan tights, kiltless. He looked like Errol Flynn in Master of Balantrea. Or perhaps an agged Rudolph Nuryev. I think those photos went directly in to Kilted Knome's personal collection.
