    Hi Steve,

Then it should be no problem to fix the issue if you are confident what the source is.

I have had no issue uploading attachments here from my computer, or from online links and photo sharing sites. So it is not a consistent problem across the board for all members it seems.

I can only say that the past issues of this sort on my vBulletin forums have been traced to the sources that I have presented.

I'm not sure I ever have seen this issue present for some but not others If Its on IT's On of its off Then its off No?/

Although Previously this process would post the actual photo now it posts a link must be a setting....

I use The "insert Image Icon" above the main text box 3rd Icon from the right, when the box pops up, From My computer files, > Basic Uploader>Choose>Upload File and That would show up as [ATTACH]"123456"[//ATTACH] although typically I though this html allowed the Photo to actually show.... but this could be a minor error too, not involving the actual forum....

May we ask a favor please? If you try to post a picture would you please give us the details of how you did it.

For example - Did you use the Insert Image icon or did you copy and paste the code from Photobucket?
Where is your picture hosted? Is it on your computers hard drive or is it hosted somewhere on the web? This could include another website or one of the photo hosting sites.

Any details of the procedure you used would give us better information as we try tracking down what is wrong.

I cannot upload by clicking the "insert image" icon above. I get the message box which I can select my photo but there is no button to click to insert in the post.

No problem in uploading to Photobucket, copying "image" text and then pasting it here.

For those who are having problems uploading photos via the insert image feature on both the Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls, and the Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing settings,
as a work around try setting your Message editing menu to the BASIC setting, and utilize the Attachment uploader to insert an image uploaded from your computer. For posting online images, use the [IMG] "link to photo" [/IMG] tag code in the post.

See if that will work for now.

Yes, I suggested that earlier, but some members are loath to use that method for some reason.

Testing 1 2 3 Steve, here are 2 photos taken from my computer's pictures file. The first photo is one I have posted here before and as you can see it shows up as a photo in this post. The 2nd picture is from the exact same file on my computer but only shows up in this post as a link.

Tapping reply to thread, then in the quick reply window I'm typing this, then on the top row of little icons I pick the photo, then the window/pop up drops down and I pick from computer, then it pick a photo from the file inside my iPad ( something I've done 99% of the time I've been on the forum ) and I select a photo (one I've uploaded before exactly the same way. The photo is the same size I've used time and time again. ) and hit upload file. Then a window pops up and says the file is too big, and I give up........for I've already cropped the heck out of numerous photos to try to fit them, even after I know I've uploaded photos the same size........

Thank you Hawk, that is exactly the sort of information we need for our troubleshooting.

Instead of using work-arounds and making changes to the parts we know are working right, we would prefer to figure out what went wrong and fix it. So if everyone could just be a little more patient.
